CSCM on Safari
In October Dave Brown and I flew to Dubai initially to visit our global customerHi-Force. After spending a busy few days working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, we got on another flight to visit their site in South Africa. Staying in Johannesburg, we travelled in and around the city, working hard in the day and enjoying the sites where possible.. Taking time out to celebrate Dave's birthday we were lucky enough to go on an African safari at Pilanesberg National Park. This was an amazing day and I would like to thankAma-Zing Safarisfor their hospitality. Please take a look at their website, as they have some brilliant photographs on there!
CSCM's 21st Birthday and Fish and Chip Friday
This months networking event was an extra special one as it not only coincided with CSCM's 21st Birthday, but it also saw the launch of 'The Business Hive'. With over 50 attendees this was a busy lively lunch, goodie bags were given to all attendees and visuals of the new Hive website were on show as a preview of this exciting new business. We were lucky enough to haveBlind Dave Heeleyas the guest speaker. Dave entertained the whole room with his inspirational personality and was proudly talking about his new paperback book, 'From Light to Dark' copies of which were all sold out on the day. This is a great read and if you are interested in purchasing one, please visit his website.

Along with other Business owners from around the borough I recently attended a careers breakfast session at Leasowes School. Here I spent time chatting with the pupils and giving advice about the career paths they are looking to follow. This was a great session and the feedback from this was very positive.
Charity Quiz Night
Griffiths and Pegg hosted their annual Breast Cancer Quiz at the Copthorne Hotel, this week. CSCM entered two teams into the competition and strangely both teams got the same points, much to their disappointment!
It was a great night and over £10,000 was raised on the evening alone. It is not too late to make a donation, details can be found on their website.
Do you know what it is or more importantly why it would be beneficial to you?
Firstly think about your current I.T. set up, thenumberof PCs you have and then break this down to each individualusersand their own set ofapplicationson each of those PC’s.
Everytime you want or need to install new hardware, make a change or upgrade a programme, potentially you will have to do this for each individual PC. Now think about the costs associated with this, remember these need to be applied for each PC.
If you move your entire I.T. infrastructure to a managed cloud environment everyone within the business can then access the same set of applications, so no moreindividualcosts relating to PC upgrades.
You will also save on your overallcapital expenditure and maintenance costs.
Furthermore your applications can be accessed from anywhere in the world and on any device, so no more onsite constraints.
|There are too many benefits to list when it comes to cloud computing.|
