Presidents’ charities are announced.

A business community

CSCM Managing Director and Black Country Chamber of Commerce President Jude Thompson announces the new charities he will support for the following year.

Last year Acorns Children’s Hospice became the President’s chosen charity with £6000 raised on the evening of the Chamber awards in November, another several hundred pounds was donated after the President and Chamber CEO, Corin Crane were sponsored to walk across hot coals in early March and a further £660 was raised just this month by the Chamber team following their participation in the Acorns Glow Walk.

This year Jude has chosen the Teenage Cancer Trust and Parkinson’s UK, commenting he said, “This year has really shown the need for us in the business community to come together and use our collective efforts and endeavours to support those most at need. “We know that there are so many worthy causes in the Black Country which need more help right now and we have chosen both the Teenage Cancer Trust and Parkinson’s UK as they are organisations doing amazing work in areas which are close to the heart of our Chamber family right now. “The Chamber team are working closely with both organisations and have some amazing activities planned over the next 12 months. I’d like to extend my gratitude to all those members who supported last year’s charity, I know that you will work hard to help us with these two new charities.”
