The CSCM undertook a huge Cloud project with Midlands based Charity Options for Life. The organisation works with people with learning difficulties and/or autism, they have several sites in the Midlands area.
Options for Life are spread across multiple sites they approached CSCM as they needed a solution to combat the issues they were having with flexibility. To meet demands of the local community staff needed to be able to work anywhere, adhoc changes to their day could result in them moving location, but their IT was not equipped to support agile working, so it left staff without access to systems when a change of workplace was necessary.
Working remotely on this basis without the correct security measures in place poses a huge data security threat to any business.
To eliminate all the issues Options for Life approached CSCM with, the project team moved their entire IT infrastructure over to CSCM’s hosted desktop environment.
By moving the entire organisation to our cloud environment it gave all staff the ability to work in the same manner with access to all of their systems regardless of what site they are at. Additionally it gave them the flexibility of working from home knowing that their systems are secure and their data is safe in CSCM’s UK based datacentres, the ability to do this is particularly prevalent to combat unexpected changes in the world of Business.
An added advantage of moving their IT infrastructure to the CSCM cloud is that we removed the customer’s onsite servers, giving Options for Life additional space in the workplace. As a charitable organisation this client was particularly grateful for not only the space they gained but also the cost savings in regards to running onsite equipment.
The project itself was pretty sizeable with the need for over 40 users to be set up and able to operate, as well as adapting all their key business applications to make them compatible in the CSCM cloud. CSCM form internal Project teams that hold the relevant banks of knowledge to overcome the different issues each unique organisation brings.
